SCN allows users to store payment method information for display purposes only. This disclaimer explains our role, your responsibilities, and important limitations regarding payment information on our platform.
What SCN Does
SCN provides a platform where users can:
- Store payment method details (e.g., PayPal email, Venmo username)
- Display these payment methods on their profile
- Share payment information with other users
- Generate QR codes for easy payment method sharing
What SCN Does NOT Do
SCN does NOT:
- Process any financial transactions
- Transfer money between users
- Hold funds or act as an escrow service
- Verify the accuracy of payment information
- Guarantee successful transactions between users
- Provide dispute resolution for payments
Your Responsibilities
By storing payment methods on SCN, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your payment information
- You must verify payment details before sending money to any user
- All transactions occur directly between users outside of SCN
- You assume all risks associated with peer-to-peer payments
- You will not hold SCN liable for any payment-related issues
Security and Privacy
While we take security seriously:
- Payment information is encrypted during transmission and storage
- We follow industry best practices for data security
- You control the visibility of your payment methods
- We never store full credit card numbers or banking credentials
- We recommend using payment services with buyer/seller protection
Disclaimer of Liability
SCN expressly disclaims all liability for:
- Failed, incorrect, or fraudulent transactions
- Disputes between users regarding payments
- Loss of funds due to incorrect payment information
- Unauthorized access to payment accounts
- Any damages arising from payment transactions
Best Practices
We recommend users:
- Verify recipient information before sending payments

Consent and Acceptance
By adding payment methods to your SCN profile, you:
- Acknowledge that you have read and understood this disclaimer
- Accept that SCN is not a payment processor
- Agree to use payment features at your own risk
- Consent to the storage and display of your payment information
Withdrawal of Consent
You can withdraw consent for payment method storage at any time by:
- Going to Settings → Privacy & Consents
- Withdrawing "Payment Method Storage" consent
- Note: This will remove your ability to add or display payment methods
